Is there a major difference with bnb, vacation rentals and long term leases? The cabins will have private baths and kitchenettes, so I will not be preparing food (no food handlers license). Also, our cabin residence will be on the other side of the property. I have seen others on Airbnb just renting out cabins per night who don’t offer meals. Mostly campsites and cabins. I’m aware that zoning and other factors will be issues, but I’m hoping to get some advice on which might be more “approachable” for a first timer. I don’t mind being available to guests 24/7 as I will be on the property full time. The property is closer to springs, rivers, fishing, hunting, etc. (bnb or vacation), but also near a major university (long term leases from students). as in li Which would be easier with licensing, insurance, permits, etc.? I was told that I can’t do this on residential property, so if that is true, can I have a residence cabin on commercial property? Been doing lots of research for six months daily, all day (not working right now). I am currently overseas and having a hard time finding out who to contact. Most people won’t pick up their phones for overseas calls (solicitors), as well as many number are !-800 (only able to call from America). I’ve got the money and the plan (working on it). I know it isn’t going to be simple. I don’t plan opening or renting anytime soon. Had businesses before. New to bnb, vacation and rentals. Will be buying a residential cabin regardless. Looking for ideas of what would make more sense with, well, anything to do with this. Thanks @Bort. Thank you for the answer and common courtesy. I’m not looking for everything to be explained to me in a nutshell, just looking for angles and approaches before I/as I get my ducks in a row. @Pascal. Thanks. I am certainly considering that angle.
