So, I’ve got a list, which I used on a page with a Content Query Web Part. The list looks like this;

There are lots of different values in the HR_ListID column, so I use the list on a page to say, “show the items in the list when the HR_ListID is equal to (eg TPUK1000)”. Under Appearance, I’ve set the Chrome Type to “None” as the heading looks too much on my page, so instead of created the list item shown above – third item in the list shown above “ALL”. So on the page I can now say, “show the items in the list when HR_ListID = TPUK1000, OR when HR_ListID = ALL. I sort the list by “Order”, so RELATED LINKS should appear at the top.

This works, however the RELATED LINKS on my page is a link, even though there’s nothing in my RELATED LINKS column above.
