Femenist celebrities in my opinion are hypercrits whwn it comes to claiming to be empowering everday women on equal rights and pay. Equal rights and pay does not really effect low income famillies. If you work in shop as a cashier your wage is going to bw the same as males. unless it comes down to age right? Plus they turn up to award shows in there freebie gucci dresses worth millions and preach how they deserve an extra 50 million when the rest of us sit in poverty. If you want to empower women and be seen as a women for the people to look up to. Turn up to an award show, premiere etc wearing a reasonabley priced outfit? except they couldn’t lower themselves to your level because they still consider themselves above the common person. Its like once you earn so much you have this mindset that it has to be spent in a certain way in order to feel good about themswlves. All while still claiming to be role models. Regardless of talent which alot of actresses and certain singers have they still flaunt their wealth. You can still look up to someone like Emma Watson, Jessica Chastain, Lady Gaga but time and again we seem to be drawn towards celebrity and wealth rather than finding everyday people who inspire us who have not yet gotten to the top.
