I have a 2008 Toyota Camry Hybrid with a 170,000. The Hybrid battery pack just died on me last night which I confirmed. The car still runs great, it might need new suspension soon which is $ 1,000 but that’s in a couple years. I don’t think I could find another car this nice for 3 to $ 4,000 which is what it cost for the battery installed. Then again I’m beginning to read about other expensive problems that could happen on a hybrid such as the brake activator and the inverter. Should I just get a new battery pack? The car drives fine without it it’s just not a hybrid anymore… I could sell it and get something else but how do I know that’s something else couldn’t have an array of problems.
