So a couple of months ago I bought a car from Facebook market and the man who sold me the vehicle told me that he was selling the car for another person. As this was mi 1st time buying a used car I didn’t knew much about anything and the car looked in good condition plus it was cheaper than other cars. We didn’t sign any paper, we just made the deal in person, I gave him the money and he gave me the title, the keys and a bunch of papers which I didn’t know what they were about and didn’t really take a look at that moment. (They’re transfer forms, they’re like 7 different sheets, and I noticed that the car was traded by auto auction to 7 different auto dealers). So he told me that the only thing I should do next was take myself to the DMV and register the vehicle under my name and to tell the administrative to fill all the paperwork for me as this was my first time doing this type of movements at the DMV. Another thing was that the stickers on the plates were expired since jul/17 (I bought the car on nov/17). Now I’m stuck with this car and I’m not sure about registering it at the DMV and use it (I’m afraid they’re gonna charge me for all those months the registration was not renovated; or just sell it again. (Though people is asking me for a car fax which I don’t have and other information about the car that I don’t really know because the seller lied to me). Can anyone please help me with this or give me some advice? Thanks and sorry for the long post.
