There are days that I’m enjoying staying in the computer and talking with people around me so stay social. However, sometimes I get pretty upset or drained with some of my programming work. I have no past experience with working with others as a huge group for each project. At the current stage, I’m mostly learning all this workload and stress is hitting me hard.
For example, I’m programming with a big group of 20-25 people to tackle one project. People who are 7, 3, 2, or less than a year as a programmer. We split the task among us to finish our product faster. But I was thinking that this can be troublesome because of putting the work together can make a spaghetti code, messy, or not even functional at all. I tried to focus what is our weakness and I noticed there is some lack of dividing the job properly among us or learning materials that we haven’t heard.
Also, if we don’t finish the project in time, we have to move on to the next project no matter how close we are done. Project management for us is also a challenge because we don’t understand how to do multiple tasks at once. So, I’m curious how do you guys deal with this for anybody who experienced the same as I did. Any pointers helps too (kudos if you know the pun). I hope you understand π
