I’m trying to dualboot Ubuntu 16.04 and the preinstalled Windows 10 on my notebook. I’ve a ubuntu live usb, which I want to use for the install.
When trying to install Ubuntu, it didn’t give me an option to install ubuntu alongside Windows. Therefore, I went searching on the internet and was told that I had to manually convert my secondary GPT partition to logical, before Linux would be able to recognize my existing windows install.
I’ve tried Easeus Partition master, Minitool partition Wizard and disk management, however.. The convert to logical option is greyed out, so I’m not able to convert it to logical.
This is what I’ve tried: – Formatting the partition to FAT32, NTFS, exFat. – Deleting the partition and creating a new one.
Does anyone have an idea on how I could make this possible? I’m trying to install ubuntu without losing my data. Ofcourse I understand the risks.
Here is some information about the disk partitions: (The one I’m trying to convert is the one with 15gb ntfs
