- Why isn't my variable-aperture photo more interesting? 6 answers
I’ve recently acquired a lens where there are no electronic communications with the camera. The aperture ring smoothly transitions between the stops and adjusts the aperture as it is adjusted.
I’m going to be experimenting with adjusting the aperture during the exposure. But, as the lens is for a film body – I’m searching for examples of this type of shot to get an idea of what will happen before I start blowing through the film.
Problem is, I can’t find any. I think that the effect will be a simple ghost overlaying bokeh – but I’m not really sure.
Does anyone have any examples of this type of shot or theories on the effect?
